I am from the west coast of Africa’s maze.

Where on each day of the year working outside would have your eyes burn from sweat dripping down your face.

We never worry about teaching people about race.

Because with our hearts opened and so welcoming we treat people amazingly no matter the case.

Our flag represents our whole culture and being and not just a phase.

The red in the flag represents the blood our forefathers lost in the fight for our independence, A testament to our strength, a story that forever plays.

The gold in the flag represents the wealth of our country and how the land is filled with minerals such as bauxite and gold.

A former name for the motherland, Gold Coast was bold, but its riches and spirit remain untold.

Green in our flag represents the vegetation of the land and how plants grown from our soil turn out to be bold.

All the animals that dwell among this vegetation are exotic treasures, a true sight to behold.

The black star represents freedom and hope.

Being from this place has taught me strength, resilience and how to cope.

Our culture is beautiful and bright like a bandana.

If you could not guess the place I am from is Ghana.
