“Scientists have mapped the most forlorn bits of acreage on this Earth in a multitude of ways”. page

In different ways scientists have been able to map the most remote places on earth.

The most isolated and neglected places on earth have been mapped by scientists using numerous approaches.

Places that lack human contact have been mapped using various methods.

I chose to paraphrase this text because it speaks more about how almost all parts of the world have been mapped and not in just one way. With trying to paraphrase I had read this multiple times to make sure I understood the main idea of the text. I had tried to find if ant of the words had any other meanings.

“Among the many classes of documents regularly used by historians, maps are well known but less well understood”. page 34

A large variety of records are used by historians, maps are widely acknowledged,yet still not fully clarified.

Amongst all the types of documentations used by historians maps are most common but not fully appreciated.

With all the forms of documentation that are used, maps are most popular to historians but not fully transparent.

Before reading this text I didn’t think of a map as a form of documentations and that is why I chose this text cause it had challenge my thoughts. Paraphrasing this was quite challenging I had made a list of each word I could change without changing the meaning of the passage.
