The reading difficulty for me depends on the purpose of the reading, for instance if I am reading for leisure or for educational purposes(for school work). When I read for school it is usually more tedious and time consuming compared to that of leisurely reading. When reading for school work I usually skim it first to pick up on the main idea of the text before I actually take my time to read in order to know where to look for information or pay attention more. During this second read I am usually looking to find ideas and mostly words. In looking for ideas I do not only look for the ideas but the order they are placed in and with the words I focus on how they are used especially. For the environment I read best in an environment that is not too quiet but not too loud because I tend to be distracted by too much silence.

I found the aspects of your reading process that you described to be very relatable. Specifically, your last section that discusses the environment resonated with me because I also prefer to read in an area that has some ambient noise. What you said about too much silence being distracting makes perfect sense. Also, I appreciated how you made detailed comparisons between reading for pleasure and reading for school, as the two are more different than most people would be willing to admit.
